En esta página podrás ver a lo que nos dedicamos casi 30 años en la hermosa municipalidad de Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México.
En 1992 se fundó la sociedad humanitaria de Los Cabos por tratar de evitar la sobre población animal. Nuestra primer presidenta la señora Janet Ascencio, se dio a la tarea de fundar dicha asociación. El Dr. MVZ Tapía también fue una pieza clave para su desarrollo. Sin olvidar claro a la familia Ceseña quienes viendo la excelente labor de sus fundadores decidieron donar el terreno donde actualmente nos encontramos. Somos una asociación que constantemente ha buscado el bienestar animal pero que como caso único en todo el país, somos un municipio que creció del año de 1992 con alrededor de 50 000 habitantes, hasta estas fechas que hemos rebasado los 320 000 habitantes y que siendo uno de los municipios más ricos del país no existe un organismo municipal para el control animal.
Nuestras principales actividades del Los Cabos Humane Society son:
- Rescatar, cuidar y buscar hogares por siempre para los animales en abandono y descuido
- Esterilizar mascotas para mejorar su calidad de vida y evitar una sobrepoblación de estos animalitos
- Educar y mostrar las mejores formas sobre el cuidado de la vida animal en nuestra comunidad
Para lo anterior y por nuestra calidad como organización civil dependemos de las aportaciones de todas las personas interesadas en mejorar la calidad de vida y el espíritu humano de nuestra Los Cabos.
Tu puedes ayudar de las siguientes formas:
- Hacer cualquier tipo de donativo económico.
- Hacer cualquier donativo de cosas que ya no utilizas y que aun tienen una vida útil a nuestra tienda de segunda mano, Huellitas.
- Visitarnos y ayudarnos a pasear perros que tenemos en el albergue.
- Compartir fotos y videos que toma en el refugio en las redes sociales
- Ofrecer su tiempo y talento para eventos de recaudación de fondos

Here you can see what we have been doing for nearly 30 years in the beautiful municipality of Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
The Los Cabos Humane Society was founded in 1992, with the goal of preventing animal overpopulation. The first president, Mrs. Janet Ascencio, was tasked with the founding of the association. Dr. Tapía MVZ also played a key role in its development.
The Ceseña family, who, seeing the excellent work of the organization’s founders, donated the land for the Los Cabos Humane Society. This is where our facility is still located today, after nearly years and many challenges.
This association constantly promotes animal welfare, but its situation is unique in the country. The Los Cabos municipality has grown from 50,000 inhabitants in 1992, to the 320,000+ inhabitants today. Although it is one of the most prosperous municipalities in the country, there is no municipal agency for animal control.
The main activities of the Los Cabos Humane Society are:
- Rescuing, caring for and finding forever homes for abandoned and neglected animals
- Spay and neutering pets to improve their quality of life and avoid animal overpopulation
- Educating the community on the best ways to care for animals
We are a not-for-profit civil organization and our existence depends entirely upon the contributions of all those interested in improving the quality of life for the animals and the human spirit of Los Cabos.
